School Supplies Support

Education is a direct pathway to opportunity. Yet every year, countless children are held back by something as basic as not having a backpack, pencils, notebooks, or the essential tools required to learn. When a child arrives at school without supplies, they often struggle to participate, fall behind in their lessons, and lose confidence. No child’s future should be shaped by the lack of simple materials that most people take for granted.

At Louisa’s Foundation, we believe every child deserves a fair chance to succeed in the classroom. Our School Supplies Support Program ensures that students have the tools they need to start the school year strong and continue learning throughout the year. We do not wait for families to ask for help. We work directly with schools, community centers, shelters, and youth programs to identify students who are at risk of falling behind due to a shortage of supplies.

Each year, we coordinate large back to school drives that provide children with fully stocked backpacks. These backpacks are filled with appropriate grade essentials such as notebooks, folders, writing tools, rulers, binders, art supplies, and hygiene items. For many children, this is the only time they receive brand new materials. Having their own supplies gives them pride, stability, and the ability to participate fully in class without embarrassment.

Our support does not stop after the first day of school. Throughout the year, teachers often struggle to replenish supplies, and many pay out of pocket to help their students. When classrooms run low, we step in with mid-year supply drops, refills, and emergency kits. We make sure students stay equipped all year long.
