Clothing Assistance Program
For too many children in the United States, wearing clothes that fit, keep them warm, and allow them to feel confident is a luxury they simply cannot afford. Clothing insecurity is one of the hidden struggles of poverty. When children don’t have weather-appropriate outfits, clean every day wear, or the right school uniform, it affects far more than how they look. It impacts their ability to focus, to learn, to socialize, and to feel safe.
At Louisa’s Foundation, we believe every child deserves to feel comfortable and dignified in their own skin. Clothing should never be a barrier to education, confidence, or participation in daily life. Through our Clothing Assistance Program, we ensure that children receive the essential items they need to stay warm, clean, and supported throughout the year.
We distribute both new and gently used clothing always clean, always respectable, and always chosen with care. Our goal is simple: remove one more burden from families who are already doing everything they can to provide for their children. Whether a child needs a warm winter coat, a pair of school shoes, a backpack, or a full set of uniforms, we step in to fill that gap with compassion and consistency.
Our partnerships with schools, shelters, youth programs, churches, and local businesses allow us to identify needs quickly and deliver clothing directly to the children who need it most. We also run seasonal clothing drives to supply coats in the winter, lighter clothing in the summer, and year-round essentials that support children through every stage of growth.
Your support provides:
• Seasonal clothing drives that keep kids warm in the winter and cool in the summer
• School uniforms so every child can arrive in class prepared and confident
• Year-round partnerships with local businesses, allowing us to expand access and maintain steady inventory
• Essential everyday items such as socks, shoes, shirts, and outerwear
• Emergency clothing support for families experiencing sudden crises such as fires, homelessness, or domestic instability
With your generosity, we restore dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging. You help children walk into school with pride, participate without fear of embarrassment, and face each day with comfort and security. Together, we can ensure that no child is held back simply because they lack the clothing they deserve.
